Is the Olde Bryan Inn?
Saturday, January 18, 2014: Saratoga Springs
Losing the chance to go to the Kitchen in Schuylerville due to a snowfall of dubious proportions, John celebrated his 70th birthday at the Old Bryan Inn. The actual date of the heavy set gentleman was January 17th. That evening was spent in the company of John’s mother and the demure lady to John’s right (or left depending on your point of view). Food was tremendous; snowstorm was not. This picture was taken by a lovely waitress who also brought a nice desert with a sparkler on the top. On Sunday, January 19th, we finally celebrated the aging process at the Kitchen. We, also, stopped at Eli's for breakfast. It is always nice to be remembered.

Desolation Row
No words can describe the feeling of alienation and even desecration in these images. The only sign of life was the tracks of deer. Now, there are tire tracks of the FJ Cruiser which circled the circle seeing nothing but white void..

Heading North On 70
My 70th birthday is this Friday, 2014.01.14, I am going out for dinner here in Newburgh, taking Vicky, my mother, and Vicky’s Uncle Ugo. On the morning of the 18th (that’s Saturday), we shall be leaving early to have breakfast at Eli’s, pick up Vicky’s orthotics, and check into an, as yet unknown, hotel for two days of Northern hospitality. We shall dine at the kitchen Saturday night, and, sometime during the day, take a ride by the SYB. I hope to get some favorable pictures and shall share some here on this page. Until then have a good one.

How could I have said it better?
Ah, to be near wood and water, all natural of course. And I can’t exclude the animals of so many different kinds. This is why I enjoy the SYB so much. I did not get to First Night, the Kitchen, or Eli’s; but Friday, January 17th is my birthday, and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate my 70th than be up NORTH.
Winter Season Down South
Mother's 92nd birthday!
It has been the biggest thing so far this Fall. With Winter coming on, the SYB is closed for the season. However, I am hoping that I can get up there soon, maybe around First Night. And while I am there, I shall get to Eli's and the Kitchen for some good chow. I might be wearing a new Navy Pea Coat that my wifely mate is talking about buying for me for Christmas. I do miss the folks up there. I hope to really get into boating next season. I'd also like to visit some of the surrounding political units that surround the area. Any way, this is just a post to let whoever reads this I am still kicking. I do want another dog. I do still miss Scyter and Cookie. They were wonderful companions. I guess that's it.
